For one day only, an everyday shop window on an ordinary street is transformed.

Press your nose to the glass and peek into a mysterious twilight world, where night and day have been reversed! Squint through the darkness at some shy and secretive creatures emerging from the shadows!

Look through our special inversion glass, where what appears to be the floor is, in fact, the ceiling — and what appears to be the ceiling is, in fact, the floor!

See for yourselves how Bat, Loris, Sloth and Tarsier* spend their night! You might be very surprised at what they get up to!

It takes more than a few bits of old stick to occupy them — their enclosure is strewn with board games, good books and lots of their favourite snacks. The kettle’s always on. They watch an awful lot of TV. (They’re very fond of Nigella and The Muppets.) And every hour, Sloth shrugs off his slow ways and throws some shapes under the disco lights.

*Please don’t be disappointed if they don’t all come out at once…

Whenever and wherever The Nocturnal House is open, our creatures take over Little Earthquake’s social media feeds. Follow the hashtags and share your photos and observations of them live on Facebook and Twitter! You can even suggest songs for Sloth’s Spotify Playlist (he likes his songs to contain the word “slow”) and you might just see him dancing to your request!
